Any Registered user can create a new article and the process is quite simple.

  1. While signed in, click on "Submit an Article" in the left navigation under the User Menu.
  2. This will bring up an editor, which is very similar to Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer. You can start typing, and use the icons for different features such as to create a list, bold or italicize text, insert a web link, create a table, and much more.
  3. There are two ways to add images:
  • If you have the picture on the internet, get the url of the picture and click the "Insert/Edit Image" icon in the top of the editor.
  • If the picture is on your computer, click the "Image" icon just under the main area of the editor. This will allow you to upload the image to this website and use the picture(s) in your article.
Once you're done writing your article and adding your images, under the editor there are some additional fields you should complete. If you're unsure of what to select or enter in each field, take your best guess and the webmonkey will review and change if necessary.
  1. Section: which Section of the website does your article best fit in?
  2. Category: Sections have categories, since our site is small generally the Category is the same as the Section.
  3. Published: Select Yes if you are happy with your article and want others to see it; select No if you want to revisit it for more changes. An author can always  edit his/her articles after they've been published.
  4. Show on Front Page: self-explanatory.
  5. Author Alias: Your Name.
  6. Start/Finish Publishing and Access Level need no input or selection.
  7. Metadata: Add a brief description and some keywords about your article.
Last, scroll back up to the top of editor and click SAVE! You'll then be a famous published author.Tongue out
