The NPS decided to move forward with Alternative F to manage the divergent interests on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This plan has consequences for ORV use on the Outer Banks, to include a permit and education system, managing of vehicle density, permanent beach closures and Vehicle-Free Areas (VFA's) in certain areas, greater clarity around which areas are open, ramp closures and new ramp construction, and seasonal closures for turtles and our friend the Piping Plover.

Overall, Alternative F appears to be a decent compromise for everyone, especially the Residents and Business Owners on the OBX who would have been severely impacted by some of the other alternatives.
