A Message from Greg:
While I know some of you may not be able to make this ride, I would like you all to consider a few things. - First off, we need to regroup and get things in order to finish the year off with a few really good rides and get members excited about what the club has to offer.
- I am in communication with Marshall with Upstate Cruisers to organize a group ride (North meets South) up at Caney Fork in October (I know I mentioned September, but the format we are discussing seems like it could be a really good ride), most likely mid October.

When rebuilding the knuckles on the Toyota straight axle, it is important to get the bearing preload set correctly. Additionally, it is essential that you get the axle shaft centered in the oil seal to prevent it from causing leaks down the road.

| Keeping the drum brakes adjusted on a Cruiser is a pain - not to mention issues when stopping with wet brakes! One option to swap disk brakes into the front of an older FJ40 is to use Toyota pickup or 4Runner (minitruck) parts. |

The Superflow MV50 is a perfectly capable little compressor, particularly when price and portability are considered. After using mine for a few years and exploring the thermal cutoff more than once, the compressor simply took far too long to air up my 33" tires. On the last trailride prior to these modifications, it took nearly 25 minutes to get 4 33" tires from 18psi to 35psi. |
